Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers for sourcing, shipping, RFQs, and material ordering.

Global Materials Group is built to make construction material sourcing more organized, more flexible, and easier to scale. Whether you are requesting pricing, uploading an RFQ, sourcing products across borders, or preparing for a larger project, these answers will help you understand how GMG works.

What does Global Materials Group do?

Global Materials Group helps contractors, builders, developers, and project teams source construction materials through domestic and international supply channels. We support material pricing, RFQs, supplier coordination, shipping, and logistics.

What products does GMG offer?

GMG currently highlights TPO roofing, roof coatings, and drywall, but we also offer sourcing for the broader range of building materials listed in our RFQ and order forms. The three main products are only the starting point.

Do you only sell roofing materials?

No. Roofing materials are part of our core offering, but GMG is building a larger construction materials network that includes drywall, coatings, general building products, commercial materials, industrial materials, and other project-based supply needs.

How do I request pricing?

You can request pricing by submitting an RFQ, uploading a completed order form, or contacting our team with your material list, project location, quantity needs, and desired delivery timeline.

What is an RFQ?

An RFQ stands for “Request for Quote.” It helps us understand what materials you need, how much you need, where the materials are going, and when they need to arrive. The more detail you provide, the faster and more accurate the sourcing process can be.

Can I upload drawings, takeoffs, or project files?

Yes. GMG plans to support project file uploads such as takeoffs, drawings, renderings, photos, and material lists. This is also part of our future AI-assisted sourcing vision, where project files can help identify material needs, estimate quantities, and prepare more organized quote requests.

What areas does GMG serve?

GMG supports material sourcing and shipping across the United States, Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Mexico.

Do you handle international shipping?

Yes. International and domestic shipping support are part of GMG’s model. We help coordinate material movement across markets so customers are not left trying to manage sourcing, freight, and delivery separately.

Can GMG source materials from different suppliers?

Yes. GMG works to connect supplier relationships, warehouse options, and logistics partners into a cleaner supply path. The goal is to help customers access the right materials without chasing multiple vendors on their own.

Do you keep materials in stock?

Inventory availability may vary by product, location, supplier, and project needs. GMG is building toward a regional supply model that can support local inventory, warehouses, fleet coordination, and stronger regional operations as the company grows.

Can you deliver directly to a job site?

GMG’s model is built around getting materials closer to the project and, when available, coordinating delivery to the job site. Delivery options may depend on material type, order size, project location, and shipping requirements.

Do you work with contractors only?

GMG primarily serves contractors, builders, developers, suppliers, and project teams, but we can review material requests from other commercial or residential construction customers depending on the project scope.

Can you help with large commercial or industrial orders?

Yes. GMG is designed for project-based sourcing, including commercial, industrial, and larger material requests. For bigger orders, we recommend using the Commercial and Industrial RFQ form so our team can review the full scope clearly.

How long does it take to receive a quote?

Quote timing depends on the material type, quantity, supplier availability, delivery location, and how complete the submitted information is. A detailed RFQ usually helps speed up the process.

Will pricing change after I receive a quote?

Material pricing, freight rates, and availability can change based on market conditions and supplier timelines. GMG works to provide clear pricing based on the information available at the time of the quote.

Is GMG building an ecommerce ordering system?

Yes. The current RFQ and order forms are an early step toward a future ecommerce and AI-assisted material ordering experience. The goal is to make material sourcing easier, faster, and more connected over time.

What is GMG’s future AI material sourcing platform?

GMG is building toward a system where customers can upload takeoffs, drawings, renderings, and project photos. AI-assisted tools would help analyze the project, identify materials, estimate quantities, organize sourcing, and provide clearer cost and delivery information.

How do I get started?

Start by sending your material list, submitting an RFQ, uploading project documents, or contacting GMG directly. Our team will review the request and help determine the next step for sourcing, pricing, and delivery.
